EA Werks (EAW) was formed in 2006 and is located in Northern Virginia, within the Washington, D.C. metropolitan region and has its roots in the nexus between EA, IT, the Federal government and industry.  It leverages decades of cumulative knowledge and experience of its founders who are recognized thought-leaders and skilled Enterprise Architecture practitioners with expertise spanning all major frameworks and methodologies in addition to years of experience in Federal government operations, IT consulting and enterprise solutions delivery in both the public and private sectors.

EAW was founded in response to growing market demand for a reliable source of highly specialized EA consulting services.  Its value proposition centers on offering clients only certified and pre-qualified EA professionals to provide executive and program level support in Enterprise Architecture, and its component and corresponding disciplines.  It offers assistance and advice in all aspects of EA program operations and management including assistance in program plan development or revision, staffing, and framework, methodology and tool selection, etc. 

EAW also provides in-depth advice and assistance for compliance with regulatory and statutory mandates, as well as governmental reporting requirements for program performance and fiscal management (i.e., GAO, OMB, Sarbanes-Oxley, etc.).  It is further distinguished by its ability to provide vital “trusted-agent” services by which it gives expert opinions to clients on the relative health and effectiveness of their EA programs. These services are delivered in the form of area-specific assessments and audits, or through more broader and longer term IV&V oversight. At a more detailed level, EAW has the tools and methodologies that enable it to collect service level metrics pertaining to the cost, performance and reliability, etc., and conduct detailed quantitative analysis (e.g., Operational trade-off, Gap, TCO, ROI, etc.) on enterprise and solution architectures. 

EAW’s expertise extends to information technology strategy, investment planning and deployment. It has extensive experience in delivering enterprise-level technical solutions (e.g., ERP, SOA, etc.), and is instrumental in helping its clients align these major IT investments with EA target architectures and goals for standardization and interoperability.
